With the purchase of the majority shareholding of FAST Spa, the Pietro Fiorentini Group is acquiring a company with established experience in automation and process control systems for industry and utilities production, management and distribution services, thus taking a decisive step in consolidating its leadership position within the smart metering and smart grids sectors.
The deed of merger incorporating Teclab into FAST Spa is now complete
The merger by incorporation of Teclab is part of a process of corporate reorganisation for Fast Spa, aimed at streamlining its structure by improving interaction at operational, administrative and company level. This will also lead to greater efficiency in the Research and Development department, and enhance the company's position in the Smart Grids and Smart Metering sector of the market.

Water leaks occur throughout the water supply network in Italy and almost 48% of the water supply withdrawn at the source and fed into the system does not reach the final user (Source: Istat 2019). From 9.00 am on 14 November, the FAST headquarters in Via Molino Poncino 4 in Scandiano, in the province of Reggio Emilia, will be hosting an exclusive, free event, in collaboration with Isle Utilities, on “Management of Leaks according to ARERA”, the Italian regulatory authority for energy, networks and the environment.
FAST Control Systems – Chiesi Farmaceutici
FAST began working alongside Chiesi Farmaceutici in 2007, modifying the software on the existing DCS Emerson DeltaV system dedicated to pMDI (Aerosol Spray) production process control. In 2008, FAST was commissioned to install the DCS Emerson DeltaV control system, write and test the software, prepare all documentation in accordance with ISPE GAMP guidelines and provide assistance for both commissioning and validation activities.
