The 19th edition of Intel took place in Milan, 17- 21 May. Intel is one of the most important international fair for electrotechnical, electronics, lighting, industrial automation and components. About 87.000 participants visited the show and, among them, the 18% where foreign visitors: this is a confirm of the great interest in the exhibition, mostly from trade professionals. Fast was present at the show with its own booth and presented some of the most innovative applications realized with its products Plant View 3 HMI SCADA and Micro Web System. Plant View 3 gave proof of its flexibility, showing here some examples of its different fields of applications, even when used together with other software:

  • in industrial applications, for the supervision of a chemical plant
  • in building automation, for the supervision of an hotel
  • in the Compact View solution, where different software tools are integrated: a SoftPLC control system, an application for palletization management, the supervision realized with Plant View HMI SCADA and Plant View Maintenance for maintenance management.

The number of field of applications, the ease of use and, last but not least, the highly competitive price encountered the interest of many Italian and foreign people who visited our booth. Great interest has also been aroused by Micro Web System, control system of distributed units for civil or industrial applications based on Java and Web architectures. The installation realized for the show included some MWS devices used as dataloggers, making the data acquired from remote stations available through a phone (GSM or GPRS) connection and letting them ready for visualization in web pages or with a SCADA. This device is extremely versatile and is suitable for other kind of applications: as a controller, it can implement different algorythms (PID, loops, etc.) easy to setup through a web interface. In distributed networks can act as a point-to-point supervision system inside a plant where a local Ethernet is present. Winning feature is the capability to communicate with any protocol and to be integrated in any system, also if already existing.
