FAST, through its President Mr. Emilio Benati, has been one of the protagonists of the exhibition – conference "Mito & Velocità - Creatività, bellezza e innovazione italiana" (Myth and speed, Italian creativity, beauty and innovation”) organized by the Ministry of the Productive Activities and ICE in collaboration with Anfia, according to the promotion program of Made in Italy in Russia. The event, that comprised an exhibition-space and many conventions, took place in Moscow from January the 27th to February 2006 12th in the Red Square and it has been the re-proposition of the “Mito & Velocità” realized to Shanghai in 2004. Mr. Benati, President of Fast and President of Mechatronic Club, has participated to the seminary "Emilia-Romagna - Hi-Mech: the Excellence of the District of the Advanced Mechanic", finalized to introduce to the Russian specialists the Mechatronic productive district, that recently has been recognized by Italian Government as a district of excellence among the eight districts of Italian industrial high technology. FAST President has evidenced the characteristics of the passage from the Mechanics to the advanced Mechanics and to the Mechatronic. He defines Mechatronic as a frontier discipline that links mechanical, electronic and information technology in a unique concept. Mr. Benati said: "the scope of the Mechatronic is the study and the plan of intelligent solutions". Examples of intelligent and innovative solutions have been showed by FAST and by other important Italian companies: Bimota, Comer Industries, Corghi, Ducati Holding Motors, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Landi Renzo, Lombardini, Maserati, MTP, VM Motors.
