The AmicOx devices can manage supervision and remote control of patients in respiratory home care.

The innovative Telemedicine system allows allows a constant at-home clinical monitoring of the patients who follow respiratory home care, guaranteeing monitoring reliability and a fast technical or medical intervention when necessary.

The purpose is an accurate patient watch and a constant verification of a correct therapy assumption. These goals are reached through the oxygen consumption measurement and the reading of oxygen saturation values through pulse oximetry.

The system makes available for the Medical Center the measurements related to:

	heart rate
	oxyhemoglobin saturation
	check of oxygen comsumption and reserve
	check of patient care in assuming oxygen
	monitoring of patients'emergency situations

The AmicOx system checks the patient's clinical parameters and is connected, through an integrated modem, to the remote control main station.
Each unit is autonomous and, thanks to the sophisticated software, does not require any action from the patient himself.
In case of emergency the system automatically contact the responsible people sending SMS messages to the mobile phones of doctors or assistence service engineers.

The remote controlled device installed in patients' house is composed by:

	amicOx electronic device including modem for GSM/GPRS data transmission
	weighing system for liquid oxygen cylinder
	pulse oxymeter to detect patient saturimetry value and heart rate
