MES is the acronym for Manufacturing Execution Systems.
It refers to software systems for production execution.
MES joins the ”managerial brain” (ERP)
with the “operating arm” (machines and
plants): the problem of the correlation of the information
between factory processes and business processes
is solved, since all critical information are made
available in real time to the management.
FAST, in order to satisfy the requirements of a complete
system for production control and execution, has realized
a solution that integrates the software SCADA Plant
View with Manufacturing Execution System.
 |
With Plant View 3,
a graphical supervisory package, FAST realized
control systems for machines (HMI) and plants (SCADA). |
 |
MES software allows
to pass from machine and system automation to the
factory automation, guaranteeing production
and supply chain management. |
Plant View allows the acquisition of “DATA” from
the field, it controls and supervises machines and
plants.
MES software combines, orders and manages the data
collected by SCADA, transforming them in “INFORMATION” useful
to the management.
The result is a centralized control system that connects
all the information.
FAST supplies the software instruments in order
to manage the following operations:
 |
Production management |
 |
Product Tracking |
 |
Maintenance Management |
 |
Performance Analysis |
 |
Process Control |
 |
Data Collection / Acquisition |
The integrated information system implemented by
FAST manage supply chain too. The system comprises
in fact the software modules for:
- end of line handling
- LGV control
- warehouse management
